General Information

This privacy policy is intended to inform users of my website about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by me, the website operator. I take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with applicable legal requirements. As changes to this privacy policy may become necessary due to new technologies and the ongoing development of my website, I recommend reviewing this privacy policy at regular intervals. Definitions of the terms used, such as “personal data” and “processing”, can be found in Article 4 of the GDPR.

Access Data

Access logs and error logs are stored on the server of my hosting provider, Alfahosting. These log files contain the visitor’s IP address and therefore personal data. The following data is recorded: - Website visited - Time of access - Amount of data transmitted in bytes - Source/referrer from which you reached the page - Browser used - Operating system used - IP address used The IP address is anonymised after 24 hours. The data is then deleted after no more than 7 days. The log files are collected and stored to maintain server operation and for statistical analysis. No further storage of data takes place.

Cookies

Cookies are text files that are automatically stored locally in the visitor’s browser when a website is accessed. Parts of my website use cookies to make the service more user-friendly. These files can, for example, be used to determine the frequency and number of page visits. Cookies also enable security-related functions designed to protect your privacy. Their sole purpose is therefore to adapt the website as effectively as possible to users’ needs and make browsing as convenient as possible. Under the GDPR, website operators are required to comply with the applicable regulations and inform users accordingly about the collection and analysis of data. The lawfulness of processing is based on Chapter 2, Article 6 of the GDPR.

Contacting Me

If you contact me by email or via the contact form with questions of any kind, you voluntarily consent to the processing of your data for the purpose of contacting me. For this purpose, your first name, surname, subject, the message you have written and a valid email address are required. This information is used to assign the enquiry and subsequently respond to it. Providing additional information or sending image files is optional. The information you provide, as well as any image files you send me, are stored only for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for any subsequent questions. Once your enquiry has been dealt with, I delete the personal data and image files you have sent. IP addresses transmitted via the contact form are handled as described above under “Access Data”.

reCAPTCHA

To ensure an adequate level of data security when forms are submitted, I use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. in certain cases. This service is used primarily to distinguish whether an input has been made by a natural person or through abusive automated processing. The service involves transmitting the IP address and, where applicable, other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google.
